Dancing for me is the highest asthetic way of self expression. Therefore I rather focus on each dancer's personality than centering specific dancing techniques.
With pleasure instead of dogma I teach movement patterns and techniques beyond classical dance education.
The feeling of the movement is up front before the form and they are in exchange with eathother.
YOGA makes life’s dance easier!
My love for Yoga started trough dance and at The Yogaloft Cologne. I wanted to maintain my flexibility, strengthen my body, and find balance in my daily life as a dancer and choreographer. It quickly became clear to me that yoga is much more than just a physical fitness program and that I was fascinated by this ancient Indian way of life. Today, the practice of yoga is the key to my physical and mental well-being, providing me with inner peace and helping me to live in presence.
I aim to inspire my students with this love for yoga. I guide them on their own journeys, sharing my passion and personal experiences, and teaching them the wide range of movements and poses available, both with and without a yoga mat. I especially enjoy combining yoga with dance, and this is how BUDY Flow my daily practice, was born.
BUDY FLOW
Body Unity Dance Yoga - BUDY Flow is a holistic training program for dance studios which uses the body and mind as an interconnected system and relates to this interaction. A BUDY Flow class is a fusion of guided improvisation and Vinyasa dance sequencing. Approaches from western and eastern anatomy are used and deployed. The aim of the training is to refine your own quality of movement and to express your own creativity, individuality and the presence of the moment. The aim of the training is to improve the quality of movement and thus also the quality of life.
Decades of professional work as a dancer and choreographer, as well as my passion for teaching, have given me the knowledge and experience to help dancers discover and unleash their individual movement potential in a profound way. The core of this training is being in the state of flow. It aims to touch the essence of your being and make it visible. By learning how to use the BUDY Flow tools in your own training, you can improve your movement qualities in any dance technique you are using. The training focuses on fine-tuning your instrument, which is your body, on all layers.The BUDY Flow Training combines different techniques and principles from active meditations, yoga, and dance. It strengthens not only your body but also your perception of dance in general. Beginners, as well as experienced dancers, are welcome in this class because it can be beneficial for any body in an individual way.

GROOVE ATTACK
Everyone who knows Brigitte's classes knows that she loves to groove. To her understanding, groove is the foundation of any form of dance and life in general. In this class, we simply groove through a diverse playlist of music from all kinds of genres, simply having fun with easy steps and repetitive movements, riding the beat, and enjoying the body moving with both - ease and intensity. We don't present a certain dance style but encourage you to let the body express the rhythm of the music… sharp, smooth and with confidence. We let the rhythms take over. This class will make you sweat and leave the classroom with a big smile on your face.
CONTEMPORARY FUSION
Discover the magic of fusion. In this class I let influences from different dance styles such as B. Modern Dance & Improvisation, Vinyasa Dance, Neo Tango, Jazz, Urban Styles and Contemporary Dance flow together. After a pleasant warm-up, I will guide you creatively and passionately through extraordinary and soulful routines. We work on both expression and execution. This class is for everyone who wants to let off steam and are interested in different styles, want to broaden their artistic horizons and want to train their versatility.
EXPERIMENTAL COMPOSITION
Through improvisation-based exercises and scores, new compositions are created in each class that reflect the moment of collective creation exactly. Our bodies become part of a compositional idea, and we explore the possibilities of experimenting with space, time, and form. This class serves as a creativity booster and is always surprising and fresh. Each participant contributes to the creative process, resulting in choreographic fragments that help awaken their own ideas. This class fosters a sense of community and provides a space for experimenting with creativity in general. Brigitte emphasizes the importance of conveying the joy of creative expression and approaches this class with a playful attitude. As a result, the focus is on the enjoyment of creating. The body and the creative mind effortlessly come together.
CHOREOGRAPHY WORKSHOP
This is for groups who want to dive deep into the creative process of choreographing and who are keen to get surprised by the spirit of art. I will share my tools and methods of my way to create and will leave my students with a bunch of insights that took me many years to collect.
You will learn the fundamentals and different approaches as well as the basics of artistic creation in the field of choreography. We will run through the entire process of choreography using a concrete example. You will benefit from my extensive experience in that field.
Yoga:
VINYASA FLOW
This creative and dynamic approach to yoga asana practice involves fluid combinations of yoga poses, as well as meditation and pranayama exercises. All asanas are taught in a flow, and each class is based not only on the physical and anatomical aspects of yoga, but also on a selected topic from yoga philosophy. The combinations and sequences of asanas and breath control will bring you into a meditative state of movement and connect you with yourself.
YOGA FOR DANCERS
This dynamic Yoga Flow practice will strengthen your body and mind and help you to increase your range of motion in a healthy way. We will flow through the asanas slowly, connecting the movement with the breath. Flexibility and mobility of the body are the focal points of this class, along with aligning the mind and body. The class aims to make you feel physically and mentally strong and flexible. It is a way to treat yourself and an act of self-love. Beginners, as well as experienced dancers, are welcome in this class because it can be beneficial for any body in an individual way.
PRIVATE SESSIONS
Highly focused on your individual needs, a Private Session will take your practice to a deeper level. Whether you're a beginner or a pro, you will receive a detailed tour of selected asanas, so that your body's physical memory will learn correct Yoga Alignment. I will help you maintain focus while meditating, follow your breathing rhythm, and ultimately experience Yoga as an intense journey to your inner self – here and now.
