The process of choreographing is a continuous search, above all. It is a search for what lies in between music and movement, a search for the veritable and a search for like-minded companions.
The art form of choreography is placed at the estuary of many other art forms. It is a temporary union of dance, music and the stage. The creative process is therefore mainly based on communication, on a creative exchange that puts the different disciplines and their artits at the epicentre.
My choreographies are unique creations that are always developed for and with the involved individuals. Thus we create moving movements, fleeting harmonies of rhythms and souls, that stream the room with every breath the dancers take.
"What do I love the most about my job?
To me, it all starts with the precious moment when an idea drops into my mind, bringing clarity and a vision of what I want to create. I feel a surge of focus, as if an organism is awakened within me, ready to expand into a creation on stage.
As the work progresses, I cherish the playfulness that permeates the process. It's a state of having a free mind, allowing collaboration to feel like a game. This is when I derive the most enjoyment from my work, and it's also when the results are most satisfying.
Working with other artists is a source of great love for me. I relish the moments when each person involved infuses their unique spice into the piece, resulting in a delicious masala of artistic expressions. We have the light, the stage, the individual performers, the camera, the costumes, the music... Connecting these art forms is the essence of my job, and I can't imagine doing anything else in my life. I love every step of the journey, from the initial idea to the memories of the pieces we created and the collaborative process we shared as a team of artists."
